Kathryn Walker is the National WHS & Sustainability Manager at Siniat Australia (formerly known as Knauf Australia).
She holds a degree in Chemical Engineering from UNSW, and her professional experience includes working in manufacturing, technical services, innovation and marketing, and ultimately in sustainability and health & safety.
Kathryn has led the business’s Sustainability approach for the past 10 years. In this regard her experience includes working with internal and external stakeholders to deliver sustainable solutions, including product certifications and in manufacturing operations.
The combination of Sustainability with Health & Safety is probably not seen that often, but Kathryn regards it as a natural fit. She enjoys working with stakeholders and keeping them at the heart of Siniat’s business goals – working on projects as diverse as developing solutions for customers, such as Siniat’s Carbon Neutral Opt-in program, or Safety and Wellbeing leadership.
Kathryn represents the company on industry bodies such as the Gypsum Board Manufacturers of Australasia (GBMA) Safety and Technical Committees, and represents the GBMA as the alternate board director on the BPIC (Building Products Industry Council).
